Hello and welcome!

I'm Alex Shirokikh and here I share some tips and tricks and my thoughts around software development of the Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central ERP system and technologies I have worked with during my professional life. I have been helping Business Central (formerly Dynamics NAV) end users and Microsoft Partners to streamline their experience and to build and enhance their solutions for more than 12 years. On this website, I reflect on some of my latest work which I hope you can find useful.

My early interest in breaking things to see what they were made of has led me to the path of software development which I greatly enjoy - the things can be easily fixed now, that is if it is not a production environment, of course. These days I play with the latest version of Business Central and appreciate the exponential pace of the platform improvements making software development experience modern and aligned with the software industry standards on good practices. That includes the way we can extend and integrate with other Microsoft or custom solutions using any popular technology or programming language, and I have written code in C#, Java, JavaScript, Python, and Transact-SQL to make Business Central shine as a reliable foundation for operations of companies.
